Welcome to Harris Gun Club

Conveniently located just 20 minutes south of Stornoway, on the Harris road (A859) only 20 miles from Stornoway ferry terminal. We are centrally positioned on the island, the port at Tarbert Harris an easy drive to a shooting ground that offers the regions most complete clay shooting experience.
Situated inside the beautiful and idyllic Aline Forest, Harris Gun Club offers a shooting experience you’ll not soon forget.

HGC is open to the public and specializes in accommodating both competitive and recreational shooters of all ages and abilities. Shooting disciplines include Down The Line (DTL) Automatic Ball Trap (ABT) Universal Trench (UT) Double Trap (DT) Double Rise National Skeet (NSK) and Olympic Skeet (OSK). We have all the equipment you need, ear and eye protection, shooting vests and a large range of club guns including 12g, 20g and 410 for the very young who wish to try clay shooting.

Tea and Coffee is available free of charge in the club house.

If you’re looking for a shooting experience that includes the regions widest variety of clay target shooting, at a ground that is registered with the Scottish Clay Target Association (SCTA) come and experience the very best in the Western Isles. HGC is open to the public and membership fees are listed on the web site. First Aid certified and SCTA Trained Range Safety Officers are always at hand when the club is open.

Harris Gun Club is also the perfect place to host your outing or bachelor party. With most disciplines under shelter you can shoot and stay dry and with the addition of the new floodlights shooting in the evenings is now possible.
